6th Dec. Trimingham and last 2 results

By Dene Conway

Due to various work and competition commitments I have not been able to update results in the last three weeks, so this report will include the top 4 anglers in each match, and a short outline of yesterdays match at Trimingham.

A good coloured sea and the possibility of codling for our match at Trimingham this weekend, the majority of members went to the left of slipway, with only Dene "smooth" Conway and Peter "Sandycoke" Loke going to the right and two bays along in search of codling in the rougher ground.

Dene’s first 4 casts resulted in 4 hefts with 3 rig losses, time to move 100 yards further along, this seemed to do the trick and no more hefts for the rest of the match. Fishing was relatively slow with lots of weed around making it difficult and tiring reeling in, but everyone fished hard for teh duration, only 1 codling of 4lb 13oz which fell to Dick Able and gave him the winning weight of 6lb 13 1/3oz for 7 fish , 2nd place went to Dene with 9 fish for 3lb 7 2/3oz, a long awaited 3rd place went to John "Silverfox" Neave with 10 fish for 2lb 7oz, and sliding into 4th place was Peter Loke with 7 fish for 1lb 15oz.

A hard days fishing for all and the weed being the biggest problem of the day.
