Two weekends of cold and rough or moderate seas have put paid to any hope of the larger whiting turning up with pin whiting being a pest on the last two matches it was a struggle to even find a sizable fish. The bigger dabs, flounders and whiting have moved further offshore and all fish that were taken in both matches came at distance again no sizable whiting just dabs and flounders.
Its soul destroying to fish in these conditions for 5 hours and only manage undersize fish or the odd one or two decent dabs many of which were green and underfed, the cold weather may look pretty for the christmas enthusiasts but for match angling in North Norfolk its Bah Humbug.
I have listed the top 5 out of the last two matches with out weights or amount of fish caught as I did,nt feel like depressing myself anymore.
Lets hope the Tackle X Change Open this coming sunday will be better for all of us and maybe just maybe we will get a few fish to make it worthwhile.
