A very grey overcast day with drizzle and fog shrouding the beach at Cley for the latest match in the Winter Accumulator.

A decent turnout of 13, most of whom went to the left of carpark, with Peter "Sandy Coke" Loke and Henry "Youngblood" Randell walking the furthest away, followed by Tony "Yoda" Thomas, a large gap was left before the mainstay of the club dotted the beach back towards the carpark, only one man ventured down to the wreck end Paul "Grasshopper" Thorburn, to see if his run of good results could continue.

It was slow going for most of the match with one’s and two’s coming out , but it wasn’t until Tony T brought his fish over to measure that myself and Paul Fenech realised how far behind we were, Tony had more or less caught a fish on every cast in the first 2 hours and seemed to be steaming ahead with the on form Peter Loke on one fish only.

The fishing slowed up even more and after a good start by Paul " Scoop" Fenech the Dabs became elusive for him, giving Dene "Smooth" Conway a chance to catch up, and with a quick treble shot closed the gap.

Rumours spread down that Peter Loke had caught a 36cm Flounder and was now starting to bag up and put the rest of us to shame, sadly for us the fish did dry up and the last hour of the match was very slow, the better fishing certainly came further to the left of carpark, with several good flounders being caught.

Elsewhere it was a similar story with everyone scratching around trying to locate the Dabs and possibly a bigger Flounder to boost weight points.

All in all 53 fish were caught and returned., Ray "Popeye" Ward put in a good performace but just missed a position in the frame coming 5th.

The overrall league table has been updated along with the current standings for the Winter Accumulator Series.
