Another fishing into darkness match with 10 of us turning up to fish at Cley, again we were not expecting a lot of fish about.The field spread out from the wreck end up towards the left with Tony & Richard walking the furthest, Henry and Dene along with a late Billy fished near the wreck.

Even though Billy arrived late he was immediatley into fish registering 3 good Dab to catch up to young Henry who was also on 3 Dab, Dene however had nothing size at this point, with 2 and half hours gone, Dene eventually found a 24cm Dab , closely followed by a double shot of sizeable Dab ion lug tipped with peeler crab legs, both Henry and Billy had another fish so both were on 4 a piece, Henry managed another Dab , but Dene took the lead with two whiting from two casts.

At the other end Tony was changing rigs much to the surprise of Richard as he was already catching dabs but this seemed to pay off for Tony who immmediatly found 2 good size Flounder, but it was a tight match between these two and Richard just managed to take top spot with 7 fish for 2lb 6 1/3oz , closely followed by Tony on 4 fish for 2lb 4 2/3oz.

In the middle of the field was John and Sam along with Bob, Russell and Selina all battling it out , but it was John Neave who managed to push ahead of the others with 6 fish for 2lb 1/3oz, everyone managed to catch at least one fish so it wasnt all bad.

Final positions showed us that Richard “Golden Bollox” Ives is back in form with 1st place, and as ever 2nd place went to that man again, Tony “Yoda” Thomas, 3rd place to John Neave and 4th to Dene Conway.

The league table in the final few matches will be interesting for 2nd to 5th place ,but no one can catch Richard out in front with 222pts, John Neave now in 2nd place with 170pts, 3rd place Sam Attew with 165pts, 4th Dene Conway with 163pts and 5th Tony Chidwick with 150pts, but trying to gain some ground is Tony Thomas closely behind Chiddy with 146 pts the final matches will be closely fought…
