With the wind dying down and a slight lump on the water, the prospects looked good. Reports had also came in that a pleasure angler had caght a 7lb Bass through the night so expectations were high.

18 anglers and 1 guest fished todays match at Salthouse and with a large turnout we all knew it would be a hard fought battle for the H.Mack Cup.

We also had 2 new members and a guest fishing today so a big welcome to them. As usual everyone spread out as far as the eye could see and the match commenced.

94 fish were caught but it was a very patchy match with only certain areas producing fish in any numbers, coming out on top again was Tony "Yoda" Thomas proving the force is still with him and his experience of fishing this area since the 50′s will always give him an advantage.Fighting his way into 2nd place was another old hand Colin "Mr.Grumpy" Howard, 3rd place went to Richard "Golden Bollox" Ives who walked the distance to the iron workings and was rewarded with some good flounder for his efforts.4th place went to Adrian "Gizmo" Crane making his debut match with HSAC.

Everyone managed to catch something which is a good sign for up coming matches and with the whiting just around the corner we could be seeing some large catches and even bigger turnouts.

The next match clashes with the Dunwich Help 4 Heroes charity match, so the Roy Waller Memorial Trophy on 25th October at Kelling will be giving all raffle proceeds to this charity in an attempt to do our bit, everyone is welcome to attend and the match will be fished Catch & Release to Size Limits, payout down to 4th place, please remember if your fishing this match to bring something for the Raffle..

A total of 94 fish were caught and returned alive including all the sizeable Bass.
