Rough seas and a late start didnt stop the fish from turning up, and it was decided to fish to the left of the car park at Kelling. The nearest pegs were certainly poorer in results thatn further along, however the dead zone in front of the radar station lived up to its name for two members while either side of it fished extremely well.
On form Paul “Scoop” Fenech seemed unstoppable but it was dark horse Mike Watts who was also finding the fish with a lovely bass of 54cm, Joc Goudie was also finding some good fish along with Henry Randell and a few others, Tony managed to scratch around and eventually catch up a bit but it was the consistent anglers who reaped the rewards.
Joint first place went to Paul Fenech and Mike Watts with 8lb 15oz, 3rd place to Henry Randell 5lb 10oz, 4th place Tony Thomas with 5lb 2 1/3oz, and 5th place to Joc Goudie with 5lb 2/3oz.
