Summer Open Kelling 30th May
The summer open this year was held at Kelling and due to weather conditions and catch reports was only attended by 14 anglers. The wind gusts were difficult to contend with and several members lefgt before the end, Tony Thomas managed a good Bass at 3lb 12oz to secure top spot along with 5 other fish, 2nd place went to George Smith who also had a bass within his 10 fish haul, but on the day top angler was Henry "FrostyCrabs" Randell who outfished everyone with 19 fish recorded but sadly not enough weight to get any higher than 3rd place, a very good performance from the young man yet again!
The biggest flat of the day went to Peter " Inspector" Morse with a flounder at 1lb 2 2/3oz. Everyone else did manage to find some fish but it was very patchy with the better areas being towards the wreck end.
Lets hope for some flat calm days to get the smooth hound feeding in time for the last match at Salthouse this coming weekend.
