The 2017 National Sea League Final will be held at Eastbourne according to the following detail …
Date: Saturday 18th & Sunday 19th November
Fishing Times: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. both days
High Water: 10:56 a.m. Saturday & 11:19 a.m. Sunday
Venue: Eastbourne – Pevensey Bay

Team Pools Cost: £100
Registration will be at the HQ on Friday 17th November from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m. Captains only will make the draw. Any teams not booked in by 10 p.m. will be drawn for and excluded from the optional pools unless paid in advance.
Prize Presentation will be at the HQ on Sunday evening 19th November between 6 and 7 p.m. with the exact timing being determined by the time taken to prepare the results.
As in previous years there will be an Optional Individuals £5/day Super Pool with the monies being collected at registration time.
Fishing will be catch and release with length to weight conversion charts which are included in the match cards.
A minimum size of 18 cm will apply for all fish.
All baits will be allowed except CRAB & WHITE RAG.

MATCH INFORMATION
Venues
The match will be pegged in PEVENSEY BAY, more details available when entry numbers are known. All fishing will be over clean ground (the rougher the weather the better the fishing, except southerly gales).
Species
Whiting, Dabs, Flounder, Codling with the occasional Bass and LSD depending on weather conditions on and prior to the match.
Bait
Main bait will be lug, fresh or wrapped which can be tipped with fish and squid. If there have been gales before the match shellfish may work.
Rigs
Suggested fishing 3 hook clipped rigs, hook size 2 to 1/0.

Both tackle shops have an extensive range of bait at this time of the year and will give 10% discount over the weekend on all tackle purchases (except bait and special offers).
ACCOMMODATION
Accommodation will be available at Martello Beach Holiday Park, Pevansey Bay, East Sussex, BN24 6DH which is also the event HQ and 27 holiday units have been reserved for team members. The holiday units comprise of 2 or 3 bed twin rooms plus an additional sofa bed.
Cost of accommodation will be in total £55 per team member for the 3 nights (Friday-Sunday). Accommodation can only be booked by phone and not on-line but the Holiday Park’s website (www.martello-beach.co.uk) does have more information about the Park.
Booking MUST be done by the Team Captain or Team Representative by contacting Karen Burgess at Martello Beach reception on 01323 761424. To book they will need to quote Team Name, Number of Team Members for accommodation and the Names of Team Members being booked. If not all the team members names are known at this time then quote “A.N.Other”. The booking person will need to negotiate with Martello Beach if more than one holiday unit is required or if holiday units are to be shared between teams. Payment to Martello Beach for accommodation is not required immediately but by Friday 27th October 2017.
Martello Beach will also be providing Breakfasts & Evening meals and information about these will be available either prior to the event or at the latest on the Friday evening of the registration.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
The AGM chaired by Tony Thomas will be held at the HQ on the evening of Saturday 18th November commencing at 7pm. We will endeavour to keep the meeting short and to the point and it is requested that all attendees participate in a constructive manner.
Amongst other matters, the meeting will …
· Elect League Secretary/Treasurer.
· Determine the venue for the 2018 NSL Final.
· Any Other Business.
Please note that only anglers present will be allowed to vote.
Any proposals must be put in writing and received by Tony by 27th October. Proposals for the venue of the 2018 NSL Final are also requested and should be received by the same deadline. Please note that any Venue Proposal must be accompanied by a complete Event plan as agreed at the 2015 AGM.
ONLY THESE PROPOSALS WILL BE DISCUSSED.
Nb. During the event all nominated captains become committee members and their collective majority decision will be final if needed.
